Services provided for architectural, interior design and supervision services for Puerto Rico Industrial Development Corporation (PRDCO) in coordination with Hilton International, for the development of the Ponce Hilton and Casino Hotel located in the “La Guancha” sector of Ponce, P.R. The hotel’s design consists of a grand total of 270,000 square feet organized in 5 connected buildings. The hotel's facilities include: 156 guestrooms with a variety of restaurants, pubs, meeting rooms, casino, and a convention center with an 800-person dining capacity. Landscaped in lush tropical planting, amenities surround the main facilities and property. The hotel’s complex design team included architectural coordination with specialized consultants in food facilities design, audio acoustical design, landscape architecture, lighting design and interior design among the most prominent. The Ponce Hilton and Casino’s “tropical modern” design uses open space planning for natural ventilation of major circulation spaces and handcrafted exposed architectural concrete finishes with local stone aggregates that won the “Excellence in Concrete Construction Industry award” recognizing the unique architectural design. Project was completed at a cost of $26M.
